Volunteers wanted!

Are you an avid gardener who likes to share your expertise, do you want to learn how to care for a garden, or are you an aspiring gardener without a space? We need your help! Come be a part of the community garden at the Aurora Strong Resilience Center!

Come find us at: 1298 Peoria St. Aurora, CO 80011

If you would like to Volunteer for the Aurora Strong Resilience Center please contact Marc Garstka at 303 617 2667 or 303 739 1580 or email at marcgarstka@aumhc.org

We are always looking for people who are dedicated to Aurora and want to give back.  If you have a special skill, great! If you are just looking to see what opportunities are here for you that’s also great. We have space available for activities so if you are interested in hosting a group or activity like yoga that is an option.  We will be developing some new programs that will be outreaching into the community and schools, so if people and kids are your thing please reach out to see how you can get involved.  We are hoping to have a group that will go into schools and read to the children, stay tuned for more details. The process is relatively easy to get involved depending on what you want to do. The first step is to reach out to Marc and see what opportunities there are or discuss your thoughts. Next we would meet and fill out some basic paperwork, get to know each other, and go over rules/regulations the center has in place. After that we can schedule your class or plan when would be a good time to volunteer.  If you or anybody you know is interested please don’t hesitate to reach out.
