Adidas's Triple Black Ultra Boosts Are Finally Dropping (Just Kidding)

The sneaker everyone's been waiting for will finally hit shelves next week.

In 2015, Adidas's all-white Ultra Boost style was the sneaker of the year. The running style sold out every time it was re-stocked, and by every measurable metric was easier to get—and way more popular—than Adidas's ultra-hyped Yeezy Boost. (Even Kanye wore them a ton.) But now, Adidas has put the all-white Ultra Boost has been in Adidas's vault, giving way to an all-black Ultra Boost that, while a rumor for months, is now finally going to hit shelves on October 13.

The black Boost sole seems like something Adidas has struggled to achieve—having just recently introduced it to the market with other styles including its popular NMD line—and as far as we can tell is simply a painted white Boost sole. Still, there's no doubt sneakerheads are going to scoop these up instantly next week. (Consider this drop training for the next Yeezys.) Ultimately, these aren't just a good pick-up because of the hype, but because the Ultra Boost is a modern, sleek sneaker that's as practical in the street as it is in the gym—and unlike the white ones, are less prone to record-time staining. That means they'll not only look fresher in the "these are sneakers no one else has" sense of the word, but also in the cleanliness sense, too.

$180, available October 13 at adidas.com

Update: Adidas has informed us that the sneakers are not hitting shelves on October 13, but will be arriving "soon." We'll of course keep you updated as new information is learned about this highly-anticipated release.
